Current Employment Vacancies:

Waste Water Collections System Operator

Must already possess or must obtain a Georgia Waste Water Collections Operator license within one year from the date of transfer or be subject to termination at that time. The operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of multiple wastewater lift stations. Applicant must also have the ability to perform general labor including but not limited to operating a boom truck, pulling pumps from wet wells, wiring pumps, facilities & grounds maintenance, heavy lifting, ability to work from a ladder or other aerial equipment, and any other tasks as assigned by supervision. Prefer individual with electrical experience who can learn to troubleshoot control panels and understand electrical schematics. The ability to repair and/or perform preventative maintenance tasks on pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment is required. Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and operate a work order system as well as the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/plans. Must be dependable, able to work on-call status on a systematic basis and complete work assignments during and/or after normal working hours as required.

Waste Water Maintenance Mechanic Trainee

A Basic Maintenance Technologist Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within one year from the date of transfer is preferred. Applicant must possess the ability to reason, problem solve, and learn to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. The ability to repair, and perform preventative maintenance tasks on pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment is required. Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and operate a work-order system as well as the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings is needed. Applicants must also have the ability to perform general labor including but not limited to grounds and building maintenance, mowing, weed-eating, heavy-lifting, climbing, and the ability to work from a ladder or other aerial equipment, spraying, painting, cleaning, or any other tasks as designated by supervision. From time to time, after hours work may be required. Management may transfer maintenance personnel to another waste water facility periodically, or at any time deemed necessary.

Waste Water Treatment Operator

Must already possess or must obtain a Waste Water Treatment Operator license within one year from the date of transfer or be subject to termination at that time. Must be available for 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week during training, however, position will move to 12-hour shifts, rotating 4 days on and 4 days off. Management may transfer operators to another waste water facility periodically, or at any time deemed necessary. Ability to retain substantial amounts of information and perform logical reasoning/deduction, ability to maintain a professional demeanor, excellent communication/people skills, and dependability required.

Construction Laborer

Must have the ability to perform all types of manual labor as well as be mechanically inclined. Must also become Georgia certified in flagging traffic and have the ability to remain continually observant of traffic hazards, safety policy, and potential safety issues at all times.
