The Cherokee County Water And Sewerage Authority takes deliberate steps to employ the most qualified and professional individuals which retain the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for each specific position and department, in order to fulfill the needs of our customers and to ensure that the CCWSA operates in the most efficient and effective means possible.

Current Employment Vacancies:

Water Quality Technician (Certified or Trainee)

Must already possess or must obtain a Georgia Water Lab Analyst Certification or Georgia Water Treatment Operator Class II License within one year from the date of hire or be subject to job transfer, if available, or termination at that time.  Significant duties include, but are not limited to, lifting of a 50-pound flushing device repeatedly throughout each day, flushing of hydrants, collecting water quality control samples from existing and new installations, addressing customer complaints, and maintaining automated flushing devices.  Applicant should be familiar with the water distribution system and have a good understanding of Microsoft Office.  Standard hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but must be available for weekend or after hours work as needed.
