Learn about our upcoming Septic Systems and the home training for Real Estate Agents.

For many people, the transition of becoming a home owner is a bit daunting and they rely pretty heavily on the expertise of their trusted real estate agent. Most have never had to think about where black water (sewage) goes when it leaves their drain or how their actions can adversely affect it. In particular, septic tanks are a common form of wastewater treatment especially in northern Cherokee county. This training consists of the collaboration of the Cherokee County departments of Stormwater and Environmental Health as well as the Cherokee County Water and Sewerage Authority. In this class, you will learn about water quality issues around the home, how to determine if a home is on septic, septic tank basics and maintenance, and how to spot and deal with an issue if one arises. This class is certified for 3 CEUs with the state of Georgia.
